Accompanying Exhibitions
Tymienieckiego Zone
This year, we have appointed two active zones in Łódź urban space: the TYMIENIECKIEGO ZONE and CITY CENTRE ZONE. Many events organised in cooperation with galleries, museums and clubs will take place in this area, thanks to which DESIGN will spread onto the whole area of Łódź.
The Tymienieckiego Zone is what surrounds us, it’s the direction for which we are heading. This space includes unique places through which we go carefully, looking for road signs, paths, new ideas, interesting initiatives. It’s an animate place.
About 20 exhibitions will be held in six special places within the historic Księży Młyn (a residential and manufacturing assembly), in which the textile industry flourished in the 19th century. This zone starts in the main festival centre (Łódź Art Center, 3 Tymienieckiego St.) and goes up to Przędzalniana St., where you will be able to see the life of Łódź manufacturers as if brought into a standstill.
