“The End of Hearing” is an experimental design project. It comprises three science-fiction scenarios based on scientific evidence. Its main goal is to encourage the audience to voice their responses to the discussed issues. Can we direct our future? In the age of overstimulation, should we redesign our senses? Is silence today’s scarce resource? …or maybe the cost of progress? Storytelling, short films, narrative objects and performance. I wish to confront you—my dear viewer—with a future that may seem exciting, unsettling, even sinister.
