Today more than 7 billion people live in the world and half of them live in cities. Agglomerations are still growing, occupying more and more space and consuming natural habitat of animals. It was not the animals that came to us, it was us that occupied their grounds.
The aim of the exhibition City and Forest is to draw attention to the animals living next to us, to their needs, habits and dangers to which they are exposed. One way to help wild animals in the city is to provide them with nesting boxes. We have invited well-known Polish designers to the project; After consultation with the expert, they designed nesting boxes and shelters for birds, mammals and insects. The exhibition is educational and aimed at children and parents.
Since March 2016, the exhibition has been shown during Design March in Reykjavik, Gdynia Design Days, Helsinki Design Week, Greenhouse Stockholm Lighting and Furniture Fair, and in the Regional Museum in Stalowa Wola, Zamek of Cieszyn and the Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design.
