The Surtido exhibition
Tomek Rygalik and Luis Eslava have a long history of creative conversation since studying together at the RCA’s Design Products. Sharing a studio space, travelling, living and working together as part of the London’s creative community for several years provided an opportunity to exchange views and introduce each other to their cultural backgrounds.
Observation of the everyday, working hard and playing hard while sharing similar life goals gave a starting point to the social and cultural criticism and interests in the conceptual exploration of the design boundaries.
Surtido is an exhibition that consists an attempt to take this conversation further. By introducing the young design talent from Spain to the Polish emerging design scene, the hope is to stimulate discussion that goes beyond the relationship between the designer and the industry.
