This shelf system represents an innovative approach to furniture development. In order to be truly sustainable, our furniture must be capable of adapting and reacting to changing environments. Producing specific items from ecologically acceptable materials can only be the first step.

It is built without screws, will tolerate wear and tear nicely and can be repaired. It can easily be adjusted or expanded in any direction at any time. It consist of only four components. Its packaging will turn into shelves and is therefore part of the design as such. His vision places the responsibility for the product with the producer: You can return the furniture in exchange for a deposit. The item will then be refurbished and resold. Thus, the shelving system will remain in circulation for a longer period and will not need to be recycled quickly. Once its time has come, its innocuous materials will facilitate responsible recycling.

Jacobo Cuesta Wolf

Projektant mieszkający w Niemczech, o hiszpańsko-niemieckich korzeniach. Ukończył z wyróżnieniem University of Applied Sciences w Wismarze w zakresie projektowania produktu i uzyskał tytuł magistra wzornictwa przemysłowego w BURG Giebichenstein Halle, gdzie nadal pracuje jako wykładowca i współpracownik artystyczny na wydziale projektowania mebli i wnętrz. Podczas studiów pracował w studiu Aisslinger w Berlinie oraz jako niezależny projektant dla kilku klientów. Koncentruje się na produktach codziennego użytku i kieruje się różnymi możliwościami gospodarki o obiegu zamkniętym i zrównoważonego rozwoju produktów. Jego celem jest projektowanie i rozwijanie koncepcji z charakterem, aby uzyskać silny produkt, który będzie mówił sam za siebie. Został uhonorowany wieloma nagrodami, takimi jak IF Design Award oraz otrzymał nominacje do German Design Award Newcomer i German Eco Design Award.
