make me! 2024

A brand of handmade switches for lighting and electrical outlets. The products have been crafted from plywood since 2022. But in this case, Switch Concept is not just about products. It’s an idea that calls out: “change your thinking”. It’s a manifesto of a designer who, recognizing the problem of environmental pollution by plastic waste, is ready to abandon his current comfort and previous beliefs and completely change the image of the products he makes.

Thus, the Switch Concept brand will undergo a major revolution, in which plywood will be replaced by recycled material of many textures and colors. The artisanal philosophy and colorful range of products will continue, but the character of the entire project will gain a new context, responding to the problem of today’s world.

In this way, the creator wants to point out that the essence of design is not fashionable colors or shapes, but the constant search for solutions that change the environment for the better.

Dominik Syska

Craftsman, designer, total self-taught artist. A creator and visionary. He did not graduate from any college or defend any diploma. Since 2015, he has been faithfully involved with plywood and designing with cnc machines. His designs are consistent and distinctive due to the material used and the oval, lightweight forms. He arrived at everything on his own by experimenting with the material and experiencing it.

After years of creative chaos, he decided to take the boldest step – creating the Switch Concept brand. A brand that changes thinking and boring beliefs about electrical accessories. As a creator, he treats every problem as a challenge. And so he has now set himself this next one – he is abandoning plywood in his work in favor of recycled materials.
