A statement from Łódź Design Festival

Dear All,

we are observing the development of the situation related to the spread of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland and abroad with great caution. For a number of reasons, the constantly increasing epidemiological threat makes it impossible for us to guarantee the organization of the event at the level we were able to offer you at the previous editions of the festival. Moreover, being socially responsible we cannot ignore the potential risks that the ongoing preparations could entail. Therefore, out of concern for your and our safety, we decided to postpone the 14th edition of Łódź Design Festival to a later date.

The organization of the festival is a year-long work of our team and many months of involvement of partners and co-workers, without whom its preparation would not be possible. This is an unprecedented situation, changing dynamically in a very short period of time, therefore we are unable to predict what will happen in the next two months. ŁDF 2020 was supposed to start on 15 May, and at this moment we should enter the most intensive period of preparation.

Each year, we try to plan our festival in a way that allows us to observe and comment on the changing reality. Together with the participants, we take a closer look at the most important challenges of today’s world. We feel it is our duty to prepare projects, which will also draw attention to what is happening now all over the world, with full responsibility.

17.09.2020 is the new, and at this moment the most probable, date when the 14th edition of Łódź Design Festival will be held under the banner of PROGRESS. We will keep you informed of any changes and details. We stay in regular touch with you via social media, our website and our newsletter. In this difficult period, we count on your support and understanding, while encouraging you to take the necessary precautions, follow the instructions of the services and use reliable sources of knowledge:

Take care,
ŁDF team
